Aerospace Centennial Celebration Top FAQs

  1. What is the dress code for the dinners?

    The Gala Dinner dress code is Formal. Formal attire for men consists of tuxedos OR classically tailored dark suits, conservative ties, coordinating button down, starched dress shirts. Formal attire for women consists of cocktail dresses, long dresses or dressy separates. The Alumni Dinner dress code is Business Casual.

  2. Is transportation provided for Peach Mountain Observatory Tour?

    Yes. Transportation for the Peach Mountain Observatory Tour is provided from the Holiday Inn (Plymouth Road) and Hampton Inn (Green Road) hotels. The bus will arrive for pick up at 7:00 am. Guests will arrive at FXB for a quick breakfast and will re-board the bus for the drive to Dexter, where the Peach Mountain Observatory is located. The bus will return guests to FXB for lunch directly following the tour.

  3. When will I receive my Michigan vs. Utah football game tickets?

    Tickets were mailed from the Athletics Office shortly after August 22, if you elected to have your football tickets mailed to your home address. If you elected to pick them up at Will Call, you will find your tickets available at the Will Call window at the football stadium.

  4. Are football tickets still available for the Michigan vs. Utah football game?

    No. The AERO100 block closed on August 22. However, tickets may still be available for the game. Please visit the Athletic Office website for further information.

  5. Is transportation provided after the football game?

    Yes. Complimentary transportation is provided for guests to the football game (see bus schedule) and back to the Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn hotels after the football game. Guests who elect to stay on campus after the football game, will be responsible for transportation back to their hotel or alternate destination.

  6. Are the panel discussions open to the public?

    Yes. The panel discussions are open to the general public. Media organizations must request a Press Pass from the Aerospace Engineering Marketing Communications Specialists, Kimberly Johnson (berlykim@umich.edu).

  7. Can anyone attend the Thursday and Friday lunches?

    No. All meals are catered based upon an expected number of invited guests and Aerospace Engineering students.

  8. How many guests do you expect for the celebration?

    As of Sept 2, we have over 200 confirmed guests for the centennial celebration!

  9. Is there a charge for the celebration?

    No. There is only a charge for the Gala Dinner and the football game.

  10. May I still RSVP?

    Yes. You may RSVP for the celebration until 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2014.
